the Snap-Rose is a strict resident of the redwoods in Daruzxa. at first glance of their 10 meter height, one might mistake them for a species of dragon, but they are actually a species of Fae, which they defend as fact. this fact alone would classify the Snap-Rose as the largest species of Fae in all of Daruzxa by over 3 times the size of a normal fae.
while massive, they don't actively hunt anything stronger than a lion, making them very passive dragons.

they hunt and survive in two different ways. they hunt idly by coiling themselves around various redwoods branches and curling their wings around their mouth, making it appear as though they are massive flowers.
they utilize their vibrant colors and extremely long and slender tongue in order to lure bugs and small pray with the use of a pheromone that smells like pollen.
once something lands on their tongue the length of their neck and then some, they will snatch whatever large pray landed in their tongues and devour them through their primary throat.
while they sleep and hunt passively they can also photosynthesise, allowing for energy to build up and allow them to hunt out in the wild.

if their tongue should every be injured or cut off, it can regrow back after a few weeks.

their second method of hunting is actively searching for flowers to drink nectar through their tongue, alongside attracting bees to let them drink honey. they also eat fruits and other kinds of bugs.
should they ever come face to face with their natural enemy, the Death Moth, they are equipped with sharp spines and thorns attatched at their tails to scare them away, though it isn't unusual to see an injury or two as these dragons aren't very strong.

they live in peaceful villages sprawled out through the redwoods each with a leader or "enchantress" to guide them, which is often white in color followed alongside cool colors. she's also responsible for repopulating and laying several eggs a winter by herself as all Snap-Rose faes are female.
their colors can range from amber gold to spring pink, and their petal tips are always some shade of blue.
