Description
This is my current project. A Terminator armoured Chapter Master for my own Chapter, the Sons of Hephaestus, a Salamanders successor chapter.Its mostly a kitbash (see the chaos terminator lord bits) but I also had to make a lefthanded Thunder Hammer...
Im still looking for a name for the hammers, something iconic like Gabriel Angelos' Thunder Hammer; God Splitter, so suggestions are appreciated...
Stole the idea of the twin hammer and the chaos cloak from [link] J00m4n's Black Templar army, hope he wont mind
I made a little background info:
V’ern Mael’Eth: once trusted friend and trusted advisor of Cinaed (the first chaptermaster of the sons of hephaestus), now the current Chapter Master of the Sons of Hephaestus. Being the Chapter Champion under the command of Cinaed, he recovered the broken body of his Chapter Master after Cinaed slew the mighty Swarmlord. He was well known to Inquisitor Lord Kryptoman of the Ordo Xenos before he was issued a Carta Extremis and was stripped of his title and position in the Inquisition. This fact combined with the Sons of Hephaestus’ specialty to fight Tyranids might explain why so many of the Sons of Hephaestus’ Battle Brothers have served in the Deathwatch. V’ern Mael’s dubble Thunderhammers where crafted on the very first Cremá, a religious celebration for the Sons of Hephaestus. The ancient fire still empowers the weapons, and when they strike they strike with explosive force.

Traitor's Bane and Judgment's Mallet
As for the model, the body is very well posed, i suggest you add an Iron Halo. He has one and it just makes sense for there to be one on the model. Great job on this.

i like the names, but they hint to a chaos or heretic fighting chapter, and their xenos hunters

You do know that game wise he would die quicker that he would kill my squad of ten men assualt or crussaders, one power fist and his dead. Well hope to see him painted soon.

is there anything i could do (if i ever get to play the game) to avoid being beaten to death by powerfists? ive read somewhere that some cloaks give extra protection

Well black templar have this iteam that ignores instint death from a weapon that it two times your toughnes, same with space wolves.

and if i had a command squad around him with an apothecary ? would that save him?

No, feel no pain doesnt work on power weapons, ap 1,2 and 3, also on stuff that ignores armor saves and is two times your toughnes.

and how do black templars and spacewolves protect themselves against that then?

Well for templars they take a cape, Wolves just take a history text (I don't know what they call it) or the wolves take a wolf so they have toughnes 5, not 4.

well my guy has a cape... which is a adamantium cape, so he might be able to stand a beating
what about a rosarium shield thing?

Thats chaplins, take a storm shield if you go templar since we don't get a 4+ invul save with terminator armor.

our chaptermasters looks pretty much same, even same weapons and coat... well i got 2 diferent hammers, would be interisting to duell with you

to be honest i dont know the slightest thing about the game since ive never played before... im mainly just collecting and building and pushing my painting skills.. do yo have pics of your CM?

cant see your vehicles in your gallery... but i might have some ideas
also, if you have a very large vehicle like a tank or something, you can add iconic wolves to the side and top... the ones with shovels can have wolves painted on there

no pictures of my marines in yet even vehickle, all will coem at the weekend, marines, dreadnaughs, normal and ironclad, terminators ect, my entire 1500 point army

looks good, i always liked the image in the space marine dex under the chapter master entry where he has two Thunder hammers.

how i like the idea i think the names are a little too elaborate... however, at the bottom of the page i found a related page called morton's fork, so i might call the pair Morton's Dilemma

Looking good man. That wasn't that hard, was it? Personally I don't like the rock-base-thingi, it look unnaturally. But I hope to see this painted and ready.

As for the hammer names, I would suggest something with a Greek inspired name, considering the name sons of Hephaestus.

yeah i was looking through a list of greek artifacts i could use but im having trouble finding the right ones
im glad you like the model, it has been in my head for ages and its finally coming to life

great stuff, though the helmet / head will make all the difference. A grey knight helmet would look great for it, though i always feel a chapter master should be un-helmeted.
As for the hammers, how bout: Vengence and Wrath
