I never want to paint another freaking scale again... >.> This too FAR too long.. Spent the last three days on it... 4-5hours for the drawing (getting critiques and anatomy corrections), then 20+ for colouring.I'm happy with it. I hope you guys enjoy this.

This piece is absolutely beautiful; the face really drew me in. And the scales; I can never draw each scale, so I usually only do small sections. The effort really shows!

You really did an amazing job on the scales ... and the way she bends her tail is nice too.
Also the underwater effects work well to convey the depth of water ^_^

You mean those scales aren't either A> A very well manipulated texture, or B> A well-laid out pattern stamp adjusted to fit the bend and turn of her fish-form? Ok, then I just vote for C> You're nuts! XD They're so well formed and 3d, and well shaded and all. May your hand recover well... (I guess it did.. you've got another pic and a tutorial up now....)

You have outdone yourself! 20+ hours in coloring alone?! God I envy your attention to detail and patience. At about 8 hours I would have turned away lol. Wonderful job and I like the colors you used....very soft.

Oooh, so pretty! Nice job on the hair especially; I've seen a lot of people try and add the whispy strands and majorly overdo it, to the point where it's distracting. You manganged to get just the right ammount in the right places and it looks really nice. I envy your dedication on those scales; the time you spent really paid off ^^

well, your hard work was well spent, it adds a much nicer effect than just a few scales on the shading. I can tell that you really spent a lot of time on this peice, so kudos to you, it turned out beautifully!
