[EDIT] Reuploaded because I wrote Jade's name wrong on the image. Hopefully I've fixed that problem now.Finally got it finished. It took me forever because of the size of the image, and also the fact that the computer I'm useing is very SLOW and doesn't seem to like Photoshop CS very much.
No, I don't like purple. Whatever would make you think that, I wonder?
And some of you may have noticed her hands and feet are black... that's because I recently changed her design slightly so that she had black hands and feet, like a red fox would. BTW, you can't see the little spikes on her tail here becuase of the way it's turned.
Also, you can't see it here, but there's a patch of black fur on her belly which runs from her navel to just under the base of her tail.

Wow, that's really fantastic! All I really have to say is that your Katakana spells out "Jaad" and not "Jade". The right ones would end up spelling out as "Ji" small "e", "i", then "Do". *checks his dictionary* And it's "Hisui" in Japanese.. You can probably be more pleased using the kanji, though it's also the same kanji to refer to "Kingfisher".

'salright. The kanji would make for a nice background, maybe, but the katakana, I think you can handle that easily.
And yeah, some dictionaries don't work well. I personally suggest the Random House dictionary. Has a painted Geisha on the cover. Very effective and useful. :3

The dictionary's also just $13, so it's a pretty good buy. Doesn't actually use hiragana in it, though.. So you'd be looking at lots of romanji when you wanna look up something.

Hi, I'm from the deviantART LJ community.
I wanted to drop by to offer encouragement - you seem anxious that people who dislike anthro work will harass you. I understand. You draw whatever you want to draw, and don't let anybody stop you unless you're commercial like a few of us out there and you've gotta make money. Regardless, my point is that it's OK to draw anthro work, I'm sure you know this, but I want you to know that other people think it's OK, too.
The thing to avoid is drawing exactly like everyone else in the anthro community. It's a plague, this stylistic incest. Please take influences from outside of the "furry community", you will really benefit from it as an artist, whether your intent is to entertain yourself and share a message or if it's to make money.
Also, please also learn how to draw people as well as you draw anthropomorphic characters. This is another thing you will benefit from and it might even help you grow as a person.

I do draw humans, I just haven't been doing it as often as I should lately. I guess I've gotten a bit lazy.
