great work, it's a beautiful room~
i love how the lines in the shutters
look with the stair rails, and how
somehow the wall art doesn't look
out of place despite the absence of
earthtones in the furniture. it's an
unexpected pairing, the brown with
white -- beige is more typical, right?
-- but i love the effect.
only thing that bothers me a little is
the actual arrangement of the furniture..
i suppose it really depends on what the
room would be used for, so it might be
functional -- especially for a party or
something -- but as a living-room type
of area, the seating seems oddly far
apart. but seriously, other than that,
it's amazing~

thanks so much ^__^
furniture was one of th ehardest things for me.
the arrangement really needed to be effective,
it was tough, the room is surprisingly large

yeah, it is pretty big and has an odd shape...
if i were you, i'd have made two separate
living spaces out of it -- like, kept that seating
area with the sectional couch, but made that
back area, with the lonely chair, into a dining
room type of area. or even just storage or
something, with shelves? still, it really is a
gorgeous piece~

In fact I browsed your gallery and it was a motivation to download blender and have a look at it. But since I'm a total freshman to 3d it was a bit overwhelming

I watched the first 5 video-tuts yesterday :eyepoping:
got some issues with my graphic driver. when I move the mouse it leaves some trashy traces all over the display...

hmm yea blender is FULL is bugs. the best way to work with it is to just ignore them, one of the worst is when media is playing, ie vlc over blender or winamp open, if u move ur mouse or grab an object your entire computer freezes for about 5 seconds :S so i tend to just work in silence

it's really nice but the window on the background looks 'odd' ^^, ( and thanks for your comment on my gallery )

still has the texturing artifacts you pointed out to me (mistake! ), but very nice looking on the whole
all it needs now, i think, is something to hide the void outside the front door or maybe model a beanstalk
