My white Norwegian siderian Stian (official name: Stygian Stígandr Sætensen) fighting his way to his 'paradise'...where he's free from the species that has filled his heart with hate, fear and revenge - meaning our species.

Siderians are horse-sized felines with some metaphysical powers. They are a hybrid between a Siamese cat, tiger and a lynx. However Stian looks mostly like a Siamese-tiger hybrid.
So siderians are CATS and NOT WOLVES/DOGS ...sorry but it still seems necessary - which I simply can't believe
About the animation - I have used Adobe Photoshop CS2 and Adobe ImageReady CS2.
It's a 10 frames of Stian running in left-leading-rotary gallop (the left front leg comes as last on the ground and is therefore the leading one - yes Stian is left-handed).
These are the references I have used:

There should be more animating done like this. It is beautiful albeit time consuming I bet. The orchestral version of the song you mention fits very well. I enjoyed it a lot along with the animation of course. This should be a Daily Deviation. If only I knew how to go about that, I would suggest it.

Thanks!! Yeah it was really time consuming - it is also difficult not to make a mistake, because one mistake can have consequences for the other 9 frames too. But still working on such an animation of my favourite character is very rewardind hehe. I hope it gets a DD once - maybe- but I also have no idea how you can suggest it

Even though this is a cat, I have to say that Kiba was indeed a source of inspiration for him. At least the so strongly determined way of searching for a paradise inspired me. However, the longer I had this character, the more complicated he became - so his personality and appearance is inspired by multiple sources. If I have time I will definitely watch Wolf's Rain again.

Thanks! Yeah his fur was a challenge and a pleasure to draw. I looked at horses to study the way hair moves in combination with running movements.
