As Branwen hastily descended into the burrow, she was greeted by a familiar voice.

"Hello, my friend, what brings you here today?" Muriel asked in a friendly tone, their voice though soft, undeniably conveyed power.

"FTH hunters, Muriel, in our woods!" Branwen's voice, usually gentle and quiet, sounded noticeably concerned.

"Say no more," Muriel's calm voice became more serious as they gestured Branwen to come closer. As soon as both of them stood on a flat red cushion that Muriel occupied a moment earlier, they seemingly dissolved into thin air, leaving nothing behind.

Their destination, Muriel's actual home in Soulscape, was no less cavernous than the burrow beneath the old tree - an array of interconnected corridors, most of which led to various underground rooms. Despite the dim light, the atmosphere of this place was welcoming and cozy.

Both of the bird-like creatures appeared in a large niche in the wall and quickly proceeded into one of the rooms that housed a few chests.

"You have a plan, don't you? Something to ward them off perhaps?" Branwen took a seat on one of the chests as she observed Muriel's actions, her tone became calmer.

"I'm afraid not," answered Muriel as they opened the largest chest in the room, "but there is something we can do," after a short search they uncovered a small metal container, similar to a pocket watch in shape, "We are going to track them instead."

"Of course," replied Branwen, her voice remained calm, even though she wasn't happy with this decision, preferring a more direct approach like sabotaging the trespassers so they would feel unwelcomed and leave.

"There is no other way, Branwen, they won't stop" said Muriel, who knew her friend good enough to see through the calm facade. "I've seen enough of their work to know how persistent they are."

Branwen hesitantly nodded, she knew of FreeThinking Humanity organisation only from the words of others and Muriel's words were the ones she could undoubtfully trust.

"So, where have you seen them?" asked Muriel and Branwen described the area in great detail as well as the path she took from there to the old tree. Muriel nodded before continuing, "I'm going to search for them and you," they looked Branwen in the eyes, "be careful."

Branwen wanted to contradict, but she knew Muriel's experience will prove more effective in this situation. She wanted to do something about the threat, but what? Her thoughts were interrupted by a question.

"Have you seen Socorro lately?" asked Muriel, while uncovering a second container from the chest, "She spends a lot of time near that town and I'm worried she could be discovered by our new neighbours."

"No, but finding her will be my first priority," Branwen felt happy for the opportunity.

"Well then," Muriel handed the second container over to Branwen and closed the chest, "let's not waste any more time."

Branwen nodded and both of the undead headed back to the niche in the wall. A moment later they reappeared in the burrow beneath the old tree.
