It took me a month and a 1/2 to make this. It was a kit. It came with some very confusing instructions.
It had the outline of each piece on felt that I had to cut out. Then I had to sew them on (by hand) and stuff some of them with stuffing. Overall, I think it had about 75 pieces to it.
I made this for my niece. She said she liked it, so I'm happy. I was sure she was just going to saw 'oh. neat' and throw it aside like she used to with stuff. (she's almost 5).
Oh, and this stocking came at the expense of many pricked fingers. O_o
