Description Exploring some linguistics while taking a break from Anthropology, this book focuses on the creation of mythological languages such as Elvish (Lord of The Rings) and Klingon (Star Trek).
One thing I wonder about alien languages in pop culture is whether or not they account for gravitational field and climate changes related to the sounds people make which later become words as they communicate. Languages on earth vary in multiple ways however I imagine calculating a language from another planet to be more intense as one has to focus on alien bodies and gravitational fields foreign to earth.
Jupiter Ascending portrays a lordship as a villains who speaks with a voice which is seemingly “quiet” yet commanding with a hiss which could be associated with different forces being used to speak resulting in vocal strain with English as his body is unfamiliar with an earthen language coming from Jupiter.
Furthermore humanoid aliens may lack the actual structure to speak English comfortably or in a homosapiens way due to being different anatomically.
