Description In photography I was using 8 x 10 sheets of photo paper making pictures, and for some reason I got the idea of burning multiple photos onto the paper overlapping them.

So taking 3 photos with a similar theme (railroad) I burned them all on.

By shooting one, covering the photo paper changing the film and moving the canvas a couple of inches.

This is provides for tough situation if you are trying to get things alligned perfectly or to overlap in a certain way, if your canvas isn't sitting over a grid of some sort.

So I burned these in all around 5 seconds 4 stops down.

I've tried a couple more things with this method and actually taught my photo teacher how to do this.

Thanks, it's something I worked hard on. It's kind of like, someone has already done this but I had no idea so I had to create this technique on my own. And even though it's been done before it was exciting while I did it.

Black and White is amazing.

Cool

You could get solorized overlaps if you developed betwene each burn. Dev, stop, then re-expose, dev, stop, etc...

I think you did rather well with this. You might also consider the possibility of using litho paper; you could make negative transparencies and lay them out directly onto the paper. It kind of takes the fun out of the guess work, but whatever works.
