there are many here too where i live so many different kinds
mallards are more easier to photograph the other species tend to fly off if you try to get close for a good shot
that photo i took of that hooded merganser in the river not far from my house was had it didn't want it photo taken
i was lucky enough to get a couple of photos of it before it flew away photos are not that good but i did try my best
