If you would be with your girl friends and a cool guy would pass by wouldn't you look in his direction and AT LEAST smile? All this is getting a bit too much. Now people start to see sexual harassment in everything. And then when no one looks at you anymore you die of depression. Yay.

Wow so much insecurity! I'm a guy and girls look at me on the street all the time. Is that considered sexual Harassment? i don't think it is. One time i even heard one of them say to her friend "Look at that guy!" Didn't trouble me at all. I do the same thing when i'm standing there and a girl walks by and i think she's good looking.

I think you need to relax a bit.

Looking =/= "sexual harassment." It would only qualify as harassment if they were hollering and whistling at her, saying dirty things to her, touching her inappropriately, etc. Yet in the photo, all these men are doing is smiling in the general direction of a woman they seem to think is attractive. And there's something really wrong with you if you think that anybody who so much as LOOKS at you is automatically harassing you. You feminists act as if all men are like Medusa; that in just an instant, their gaze will turn you to stone. You're the same type of people who walk into a store and freak out when somebody says "Can I help you?" It's not about THEM, it's about YOU. About your own psychotic insecurities, that you project onto others. Considering some of the negative reactions to this, it's funny, because I saw this picture and had a positive reaction—I thought it was cute how much a woman can divert a man's mind with just her looks. I mean, honestly. Look at them. Talk about super powers. I can't seem to do that. I don't have the estrogen power.

So yeah, smiles and glances aren't harassment. They could even be seen as compliments. BUT with people like you, simple jerks who think they are right to correct women when they feel unsafe, you have to understand that we are now so scared of men like you that we feel uncomfortable only with polite glances.

Technically, in both cases, I think it's only harassment if the 'victim' gets the same treatment from the same person time and again, i.e. it's repetitive or persistent. If it's a one-off, then it's just offensive (if one feels offended).

Also, just to point out, the photographer (who is female) is also 'staring' at the woman, and at all of the men in the shot too. As armchair observers we get to witness the scene and are in a position to contemplate the thoughts in the minds of all. I suppose in this respect the shot is quite thought provoking... or thought harassing
