Description
The painted version of my Seaweed ceramic.(Drain cast with hand made fish/seaweed)
Done in acrylic.

oops, I wasn't done yet! sorry. I don't know how you got that to stay together long enough to get bisque fired. Looks like quite alot of yoga and acrobats invloved.

The fish were easier to do than the seaweed, mostly because the weeds you could not attach it while they were really wet, that took a couple tries.
But painting it was hard, lots of flipping and painting with little room. That was fun fun.

She's still bitter about a mask I gave away last year.

draincast? is that like slip casting?
how did you texture the fishies?

Well my teacher calls it drain casting, but slip casting I believe is the same thing.
I took a needle tool and made tiny little "U" shapes, It took quite some time. The fish were made separate by hand then scored to the pitcher. It was so fragile as greenware it would have been totally destroyed if someone elses had exploded in the kiln.

Yes, they want 15-20 pieces.
It been very busy for me because I had only settled on being an art major In late September, Most of this work has been created in the past couple of months. @___@

Im to scared to try. Engineering is an easy out.
you gotta be really good to make $$ out of it.
