"Bye Shizuo I'm heading out for errands. Be back later!" You slip your messenger bag over your head and fix your hair in the mirror hanging by the door. Shizuo nods lazily as he flips through TV channels on the couch.

"Be back before dark okay? And watch out for the flea." Shizuo puts his feet up on the coffee table as you nod and open the door.

"Will do bye!" You walk down the stairs from your 5th floor apartment and breathe in the Ikebukuro air as you pull out a list of errands and start walking to your first stop. You need to buy groceries and find a part time job to work for money. You and Shizuo aren't rich so paying bills becomes tough sometimes. It doesn't matter the job, you just want a well-paying one. As you walk to the convenience store, you spot a familiar van parked with four people hanging around it. You smile and run over to them excitedly.

"Hey guys how are you!" You stop in front of your best girlfriend Erika who squeals and gives you a gigantic hug that makes you lightheaded for a moment.

"[Name]! It's so good to see you! How are you?!" Erika claps her hands and begins digging through the van to show you her latest manga. Walker, Saburo, and Kyohei all wave at you and smile.

"What are you up to so early in the morning?" Kyohei puts his hands in his pockets and slouches to one side.

"Just running some errands and trying to find a job. I want to help Shizuo pay bills and help out more." These four are some of your best friends and you always enjoy talking to them despite their many different quirks.

"A job huh? You should work at a maid café [name]! You would look so cute in a maid costume. And you would attract so many customers." Walker smiles and tilts his head to the side as he thinks about his suggestion. You blush and rub your head shyly.

"I don't think Shizuo would approve of that. You know how protective and scary he can be when guys look at me." You recall the last guy who hit on you. Shizuo put him in the hospital for over a month. You shudder slightly at the memory.

"Look at these new manga I got [name]! And oh you need a job? Don't worry I can find you one easily." Erika rubs her hands together and you worry what she is thinking about.

"Thank you I really appreciate it greatly." You hope it's not something embarrassing or that will suffer Shizuo's wrath.

"Speaking about Shizuo, I still can't believe you guys are siblings. I mean you two look nothing alike." Saburo leans out of the van and drinks some soda while waiting for your response.

"It's true! Is one of you adopted? Different parents maybe?" Walker and Erika start discussing all the possibilities about why you two look different. You turn your head away and release a small sigh. If only they knew the reason why you and Shizuo look nothing alike but you have no intention of telling anyone that secret anytime soon. You think of a believable explanation to ease their curiosity.

"It's because I take more from our mom and he takes more from our dad! Pretty funny I didn't get any qualities from dad and vice versa for Shizuo." You let out a forced giggle and cheer silently in your head when everyone likes your explanation.

"Well I better get going. Lots of errands to run and places to see. Erika, let me know about that job when you get a chance." You also want to get away to avoid any more touchy questions that your friends might ask. Before you have a chance to leave, you hear the voice of the one person you hate the most.

"Where are you off to in such a rush [name]?" You narrow your eyes and turn around slowly to face the object of your hate.

"Hello Izaya. How lovely to see you today." You say through clenched teeth while balling your fists up.
