Well,another work of art to criticize..
Ok,first of all,this image is kinda suggestive,kinda solemn,kinda soothy,kinda smoothy:well done.
I love the aerographical technique you adopted,but in my opinion you have done your best traiting Reggie,but not Mimi.
Mimi seems too small,too nudged on herself than normal...of course she's cute,chibi and what so over term we want to use,but...not perfect as Reggie.
Another mistake in my opinion is the choice of the title you gave:
I can't really FEEL perfectly this sense of tension you suggest,it seems only a nightmaring nap..but one point is given by Reggie's archbrow middle between a "disturbing nightmare victim" and a "a protection from disaster and sense of insecure seeker"...
Well,the background is purple as a mysteryous and kinda strange space...as they're flowing in a no material space..and this is awesome,of course.
BTW,it's not your masterpiece,but it'still a work in front of whom can only kneel.

Before I get to nitpicking this, I wanna say I love it! It's so cute!

Alright, bad stuff first. For the lines representing the eyes you might want to make them a little bit thicker so they stand out more than the rest. The shading on some places is off also, like with Mimi's head the light source looks like it's coming from the left, then with Reggie's back it's coming from behind. The ground around them also looks a bit too over-shaded (like light's coming from above them), and I'm not sure if Mimi's leg is supposed to go that far.

Good news is, there's lots of great little things in this. I like how the colors are mostly lighter, it really helps with the mood and the background is a nice color that focuses the attention on them. I also like the thin lines; your style is very cartoony (which isn't a bad thing!) so the lines balance it out better. The shading is also a great choice for this because it looks much softer than your normal shading. This is a nice gradient which adds to the scene.
