Description
This is a later model gramophone or "Victrola" that was popular in the teens and 1920's. The horn or speaker on top was now built into the cabinet. This couple from the era between 1910-1920 is dancing the tango, which was considered a very daring dance for that time! Since I own one of these machines,I had a live "model!" Here is a link to a song I think they would be dancing to played on one of these lovely old machinesΒ www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufZBRXβ¦Related content

The machine in this pic looks like a Edison Amberola 1-A!

What make and model do you have? (I have a small collection of my own, ranging from about 1899 to 1929). 7@=e

It's a Cecilian Melophonic- it doesn't have a number on it. I looked it up-the only information I found was it was made by the Montgomery Ward stores in the 1920's.

This looks great! I love how in your pieces you create this illusion of movement, like the doe and the buck seem to be moving through the piece! And I love what looks like beading on her dress, that's a very nice touch!
