I know I've been bad about being on DA, but I'm a total sucker for spooky OCTs. Hails back to my fond memories as a child when those things were insanely popular. This is an audition forΒ .I'm happy with it consider the time frame--I only heard about the oct a few days ago and was only just able to clear my schedule of school crap, so this + the reference had to be done in 7 hours. Yikes!Β

Some people may also remember this tool from the minicomic Funland , which has a MAJOR content warning for those who dislike gore, but remains one of my favorite horror shorts. Needless to say I'd be taking a lighter treatment of the character for a project like this.

Ahh, couldn't let a concept like this rest! I have had some thoughts on serious works involving him, but it would be a while until I was able to tackle them. An OCT seemed like a fun excuse to use him again!Β
Thanks! I suppose so--I'm not a professional in the sense I make a living from my comics, but I go to school for comics (graduating soon, actually) and have been drawing sequential art fffffor...8 years? So that's a reasonable amount of experience, at least.

Oh god this guy is hilarious - those facial expressions. That... 'hairball'. And the voice - I can just picture it perfectly. The roof access line was funny.Very creative.Β

wow, this might be a short entry but I found this absolutely intriguing. Your artstyle is just top-notch, I love how you combine both dark and soft color palettes together it's absolutely amazing! And the flow, man. I don't know how you manage to depict the character's personality perfectly in such a short stripΒ

Thank you! I hope to up my game to something a little more polished (and quite a lot longer) for the first round, but it's wonderful to hear you say that his personality came through in these pages. I was definitely under the gun and it's great that you could get a feel for the char/situation despite that. I can't wait to see what you come up with, either!
