Description
Time has passed and days gone by
Through every passing minute, I look in from the outside
For the past is something I cannot change even if I tried
Memories lost forever in the winds of time...
I hope that poem wasn't too depressing;I was just trying to match the monotone feeling that this drawing has. At least I finally created something of higher quality for once xD. This is just another random scene that I had thought about while listening to a piano instrumental . I have always loved darker scenes for some reason, so I decided to make one today. Just a random crow in a kind of semi-abstract environment, with leaves flowing in a gentle breeze. Hope you like it!

Hmmm. The picture alone was depressing, and then I read the poem, also a little sad. The leaves and branches are a little geometric. I think a number of elements here parallel with the poem. There is a wind carrying the leaves, and it gives a sense of scattering and loss. Even the tree branches seem to fade into nothingness. That crow seems to be the only stable element, neither fading nor fluttering away. He must be the one watching time pass by, watching the leaves. I think a traditional haiku poet would like this; things in nature, like windblown leaves, are used to evoke such moods as the sadness in the transience of the world in Japanese poetry.

I'm glad that you were able to see the underlying emotion in both the picture and the poem. I have a tendency to focus a lot on events and memories that have long since past, knowing that I will never again be able to go back.
Yes, I can see how a haiku poet might take interest in it; with a focus on nature, it might also be of interest to early transcendentalist writers as well.
Thank you so much for the comment!

Did you write that poem? Because it's very nice. So is the artwork. It has a very good dark theme. I personally don't mind being dark alot, even though I'm a pretty happy person most of the time. XD
Nice work! :3
