Description "Sitting indoors while watching the snow gently fall"

This was for a Clip Studio Paint art competition. The theme was snow. I had to rush with this because finals was also happening around the same time.

There's a certain kind of magic when watching the world go by and seeing it covered in snow.   Brings back memories of all the days that I would stay inside and play or draw feeling comforted by the warmth of the house.

Yeah, I really wanted to capture the cozy, relaxed vibe when inside during winter. It's probably my favourite part about winter, everything is just so ethereal outside. Too bad I don't take the cold very well haha xD

Yeah! Not everybody is comfortable with the cold but we have to endure it in some way or else we may never survive another coming of the year. I also like the details that you've added in this one which shows a bit about the things that you would have in a kid's bedroom during this time.

I adore this !!  It's just... At first glance when I zoomed in, it appeared that the hand which is writing on the window, was coming up out of the cup. and now I can't un-see it.

Lmao, I'm so sorry that it traumatised you   I'm glad you still like the drawing though. I took another look at it and it really does appear like it coming out of the cup      I need to pay more attention to arm angles in the future haha

Also, this scene reminds me of two things, first one is from the movie “Rise of the Planet of the apes”, at least I think it’s that one, whatever, the scene is when they find the mostly abandoned village (mostly except for 2 people). The other thing this scene reminds me of is the anime “Ancient Magus’ Bride” (can recommend)

Ah thank you so much for your kind words. I've never watched "Planet of the Apes" but I absolutely love "Ancient Magus Bride." I need to catch up on the manga, it's been awhile. I'm really happy my artwork reminded you of it, it is such a beautiful show xD

I'm really glad you like it    I did a sketch of the overall picture so the composition looked okay before drawing out all the details. The lighting was tricky to get right
