Yes, I had quite an obsession with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers back in the day. It was so delightfully cheesy that I couldn't resist. Got the toys, too. I think these were the special movie versions. As usual, done on THE table with THE LEDs.Related content

I remember being so annoyed at these toys. The "movie versions" of the toys were the same toys, but done in metallic colors. Whereas the costumes in the movie were so completely badass, all armored looking instead of just spandex. The only place you could get toys of those versions were from McDonalds. That is sad.
Sweet photo though! your lighting setup does some interesting things on those shiny toys.

That & her actress seemingly hates her Ranger roots, blaming it for her lack of a megastar career. Yet, the man her character dumps becomes an MMA fighter in real-life (yes, "Tommy", Jason David Frank is into mixed martial arts).

Those are indeed the movie versions.
Although the bigger ones based on the TV Series weren't too bad either (in retrospect they were probably better).

Personally I always liked the original Japanese versions of the shows better due to some kickass characters such as Burai (the Green Ranger) in Juurin Sentai Zyuranger and Jin (the guy who's obsessed with killing Ryuu, the Red Ranger) in Goseii Sentai Dairanger. Plus in the case of Dairanger, there were better villians such as the Gorma Empire, which have waged war with the Daos Tribe for centuries, threatening the survival of the planet when a giant dragon (renamed Serpenterra in MMPR, in which I can't recall his Japanese name) came from the Heavens and warned that he will annihilate the planet if hostilities didn't cease.

Sorry for the lack of words in my reply...as an American kid growing up I had no clue about Super Sentai...so naturally I was pretty distraught when I found out about them...but I digress...you are knowledgeable with your many words...and those toys are the shiznit...you are missing the white ranger's chestplate however...
