Rhea checked out the damage with me after Sandy passed. We lost a few trees, but house and family are a'ok. One pine tree that we've had for over 24 years fell right next to the house. We were blessed that it fell away from the house, but it was sad to see such a big beautiful tree ripped out.Rhea is standing next to the roots in this picture.

I know!!! It's 24 years old! We used to hide in it when we were kids (there was part that was hollowed out not sure why, but my little brother and I would hang out in there) It was sad to see it fall after all this time, but like you said much better the tree than the house!!
