I just finished it nd omg it was so amazing. William Goulding truely is tallented!

we had to read it in school so we had a test for it, and one of the questions was:

Finish this quote: "Suck to your ______."

I laughed my ass-mar off omg. But by far the best quote is
"Roger sharpened a stick at both ends."
AND RALPH DOESN'T GET IT AHHHH
OMG....

but anyway, I'm gonna explain some symbolism in this picture.

Maurice: pretty much has none accept that his heart is black which is supposed to be like impurity and evil and stuff.

Roger: So he has a little bit. he's all bloody (It's Piggy's blood, btw) because he kills so much and is so horrible. What an Id. So he has teeth and claws because when Samneric saw the beast they said:

"-It had eyes-"
"claws-"
"teeth-"

and Roger is basically the beastiest of them all so he gets to be the beast.

Jack: He pretty much just gets to be his crazy self with his mask and spear. I feel like I should have drawn him with something else and it's on the tip of my toung but I can't remember what it was... EDIT: figured it out lol it was the pig head. This doesn't even need explanation. He was obsessed with these pigs,and that's the Lord of the flies with her smile and blood are gore.

Ralph: He has the crown since he's the chief as he should be (besides Piggy of course but no one listens to him so Ralph). He also has the conch because he alwaays worked for the rules of society and stableness between the boys; even if he didn't get it. (The conch idea was from not-so-lucky-cat)

Samneric: SO these guys might have been my favorite characters. They were so cute and Eric's rage quit hahaha:

"Ralph carried a fragment to the fire and watched the smoke that drifted into the dusk.
'We've got to keep it going.'
Eric flung himself down.
'I'm too tired. And whats the good?'"

so cute <3 Okay, anyway, They have The white facepaint because when Jack captures them and makes them join the hunters they still help Ralph. SO it's supposed to be like an opposite of the nazi-mask-thing Jack and the savages have going on. also it's white because Purity~ and it's contrasts the black and is easiest to see ^^'. They also have the half heart thing because they are not one without the other and love each other so much that they are almost the same person.

Piggy: He has the brain because he is awesome and knows what he's f-ing talking about. No one listens to him and it's like UGH!! He also has his glasses that are cracked and missing a lens. He also has the heart drippy thing because he died.

Simon: He has a halo because he is supposed to be like Jesus and all that. He is awesome, too, and is so cute. I sobbed when he died at night when I read it and the next morning in the first 30 minutes of school before class. his heart was extra big since he was so nice and sweet. It's dripping just like Piggy's because he died.

So that's pretty much it~
