Still continueing a little on my Bredth concept for my AP Studio class. This time its (obviously) a just black and white image. I decided to take Fooly for this one, and have more of his painting strange symbols all over the place.For the curious, this does NOT have anything to do with the comic.

Interesting thoughts Fooly. I've never really wondered what has more detail in it m'self. Mostly my pictures are uncoloured.

Very trippy! Your strange symbols are well done. You have achieved a perfect balance between the wacked out imagery and the character. It makes the piece easy to view (Yey! No headaches here!), and yet full of activity and form. Well done!

Pretty funky, the sky (if it is a sky, if not then the upper part of the picture) is my favourite bit of this picture.
My friend DCE said there's more detail in Black and White. Don't know if you think that's true but I thought it would be good to bring it up.

That's a controveral topic really. In theroy, when a person does a black and white, (and ONLY black and white) art piece, A person has to focus on many key details that define an object, to have it look exactly like whatever it is. When your using color, its considered that you lose detail, cause you are adding in things that can't be added in with just black and white. Such as skin tones, and shadings to define a face or a surface. With black and white, these would just be black smudges, and to have them stand out, need much more attention with an assortment of techniques to define an object.
So you decide what's harder? Using single colors to display texture, or color for tones?
