MEMO TO ALL DEPARTMENTS:

First of all, congratulations to the Alternative Energy Department for their breakthrough. Doctor Hamilton, among others, of course, has found a most efficient way of controlling plasma. I believe that this discovery will be of great importance in the future. While I usually don’t condone the behavior that occurred at the celebratory party last night, I believe that those in question deserve a bit of a break in that regard. After all, they are on the verge of breaking the human race free from the chains of fossil fuels... what's a bit of line-toeing behavior compared to that?

Secondly, today marks the launch of our new computer system. The Materas Analysis Yoke Operating System, or MAY OS, should resolve many of the problems we have had since the inception of this facility. MAY’s fundamental purpose is to link every computer in every department to each other, making data transfer a much cleaner, simpler, and easier affair. It is my personal belief that the entire laboratory needs to work as a single being, rather than the divided departments we currently have. MAY will help to resolve this issue, and hopefully allow for much more work to be done faster.

Finally, I have been hard at work in the Bionics Department, and I can report to all of you that we are very close to a true real-time interface with the human brain. I regret to say that I cannot give out any real details at this time, but I can say that it will provide many advances in both the medical and military sectors, assuring us adequate funding. I would like to take this time to thank all of our volunteers who have made this discovery possible through their dedication to progress and science. If you see a test subject today, please remember to thank them. They are invaluable to our research, and many of them ask nothing in return.
