Beautiful, I love their expressions
May I ask, can we expect Samoyeds in the ying yang dogs collection? I'm getting a Samoyed puppy, I've been trying to convince my parents for four years AT LAST!!! I can't wait

Thank you! I do plan to do Sammy's eventually - they are up on my list of dogs to get to in this next year. I will post here with the image when it is finished!
Congrats on your puppy - they are such awesome dogs!

Yay! I'll look out for it eagerly
I really want a big, strong one from working lines, that or a healthy well sized show one... I love showing animals, but show dog breeders can put prizes before health

Yeah, I know what you mean. It can be hard to find a really good breeder but it's well worth it to do so! I tend to prefer the working lines myself but know the appeal of a really good purebred show dog, too.

You see, I've bred and shown mice & rabbits, but those animals are rarely bred to unatural, "styleised" forms, that would distort and sicken them... Hence the appeal to me. You have natural animals, healthy and breeding well. They may have a slightly rounder head, or thicker coat in an unatural colour, but these things don't effect their health.
With dogs, as you know, the difference can be gruesome Isn't it true that Brittish Bulldogs can only have litters through ceasarian opperations?
Luckily, Sammys are kept pretty natural in standards, so its not too much of a risk... But I'm still researching for the perfect breeder

Yeah, most bulldogs have heads that are too big at birth to fit so they have to do C-sections. : /

And there was that drama at Crufts, some very sick dog kept winning, only getting through the day because he was pumped up with pills
Now BBC (the main Brit channel) won't film the show anymore, as a protest against the cruelty

Very cool! Being traditional art, how did you get the two dogs to be perfectly the same size and position?

In the sketch process I mirrored and flipped the images before transferring the final image - it's a many step ordeal and the dogs aren't exactly the same in the end, but close enough to work.

That makes total sense. It sounds like it was a lot of work to get it just right and so that each piece was even with the other.
