Description
Look into the night,Under the full moon,
Near the lake he's sitting,
As if expecting you to him soon,
Reminiscence he emits,
Inviting you to a world long lost,
Skyuðirfjoð, Moon feather.
My trade with Wotansvogel . I hope you like seeing this as much as I enjoyed drawing it.

Thank you so much, I loved drawing this, too, so I suppose that's a great combination! ^^

Wow, I love your shading/lighting on this. And of course the effect you do with the water, the water reflections on the character. The background looks marvellous. The sky looks fantastic. I love the little swirly cloud/light effects around the moon. How can you make the drawing so yet it still looks neat and lovely? I have never managed that. This looks awesome!

I guess it's the magic of black paper again.
On white paper something like this would never work. I tried, in the past, but it'll never look as clean as on black paper.

Your night skies keep amazing me. xD They really do.
Love the little effects you did with the water and the glowy parts, too. Actually all the lights and darks in general. Great atmosphere~!

Aww, I'm so glad to hear
I really love making them too.
Lights and darks are actually one of the things I love most. Contrasts like that amaze me, especially when they work together.

Thank you! I love drawing night skies, especially with dark blue pencils on black paper. I don't know how, but it just gives me a wonderful feeling.

Looks great! Very mysterious yet peaceful.
How do you get the colours so clear? I have drawn on black paper but it looked dark because you could still see the black background trough all the colours.

Honestly, I cheated a tiny little bit. I always edit my works with windows photo gallery to get them look better, and this time, too, I intensified the colours a little bit.

Well, that explains it. Nevertheless, it seems that your colours are less see-trough than mine were. I guess it dependents on the pencils you're using as well.

Perhaps. I use watercolour pencils without water, if that helps.

I was actually talking about quality but watercolour pencils could make a difference. Luckily I've got watercolour pencils (and a black-paper sketchbook) myself. Thanks.

Wow, thank you so much! He looks so happy here
You even thought of the scratches on his beak if I see that right
The background is simply gorgeous and dreamy, and I really love those water reflections!
And the little poem sent shivers down my spine.. wonderful, beautiful..
I can't find words to describe how I feel when I see this.. Thank you! ♥
