Commission: Starscream WIP

I was contacted recently after joining Facebook by an old friend from high school. He's requested a drawing of Starscream that he actually plans to have made into a six inch tattoo.

I had a real hard time finding enough reference images of Starscream. I needed to see him from different angles, then many artists have put their own twist on him through the years. I had intended to use Comicvine for images, but today they were moving kind of slow. Though wouldn't you know. Once I was done drawing it started working alright.
Drawing well known mechs and Transformers is kind of tough in some ways. With a Transformer a certain part of their body has another purpose in vehicle mode. I just kind of made crap up. If it looked cool I did it. lol

I don't normally show drawings in progress. From left to right we have:
Rough Sketch: This was mostly just to work out the proper pose and position. I believe this makes my first full mech drawing. I left out the wings and the guns on the arms. I wanted to work on the pose here only.
Pencil: This is far more fleshed out. As you can see the wings and guns are now there. I went with smaller eyes.
Inked: I'm pretty pleased with this picture. The line work came out nice and the foreshortening is alright. I wanted something more dynamic then a straight standing pose.

I'm going to add the Decepticon logo digitally. to his left shoulder
