The heart of gold's engine finally revealed! This is a tweak of 's awesome
Navigating around the debris field that is this mandelbulb to get the whole 'engine' was time consuming.
My parameters are:

Its a bit tricky to get the angle just right. There is a lot of other material very near the 'camera'. There is, however, much to explore.

Yes I know what you mean.
This is one of fiveΒ
I've just started to pan around in the Navigator window after tweaking. Β
You miss so much otherwise.

Thanks muchly This one was a pain because of all the tubes spring out everywhere. If you change the view even a little, it would lose half the image.

simply yessssssssss... i saw a similar one in hal tenny's gallery - similar concerning the machine feeling and the sort of corrosed metal surfaces - i couldn't say which one i like better - hmmmm, both...

This is pretty awesome! Especially the allusion in your description
Given you put this in fractal manipulations, may I ask what you manipulated?
π: 0 β©: 1
fractalfiend In reply to rmcrowley2000 [2011-08-02 16:55:42 +0000 UTC]
It uses mandelbulb 3d, a rendering engine for manipulating 3D fractals. This particular one uses Amazing Box, Box Tiling and Folding Integer Power along with the application of a Julia Mode on the z axis set to 2.

Hmmm? Oh, I meant since this is in fractal manipulations, according to the category description it either combines multiple fractals or has a significant amount of editing. I was just wondering which of those were done, if any? (Both out of curiosity and so I can file it away in the proper folder.)

fractalfiend In reply to rmcrowley2000 [2011-08-02 17:20:24 +0000 UTC]
Well, since both the Amazing box and Folding Integer power are 3D fractals, that would satisfy the first part. And since both are no longer using their default settings, that should satisfy the second. Additionally, the box tiling augments the parameters further, thereby reinforcing the second part.

Thank you very much I rendered at a much higher resolution than I normally would so a lot of the artifacts were taken out once the image was scaled.
