Description Updated to 1960x1470 resolution when downloaded

From my extended Compass formula. Click "27) Compasses" on the index page in my my Chaotic series of fractal articles. The formula, included in my formula folder, can be downloaded from the index page, or directly from here. Also the formulas of Greenseng here on Deviantart are included in the zip file.

Ultra Fractal (of course) and a little adjustment of brightness/contrast and resized in Photoshop. No filter or other post processing.

Below the parameter file. Play and have fun

That's because This motive is NOT zoomed from the border of the Mandelbrot set, but from another fractal
Read the Artist's comments and click the link

You have an interesting choice of colors here. Red symbolizes danger but also anger, black symbolizes evil and death, but blue symbolizes peace and calm. When you mix all of these colors make me feel disoriented in a way but disoriented in a fascinated kind of sense. What was your motivation for making this? What were you inspired by?

It was more than ten years ago when I produced this one so I dunno exactly. However my coloring is always due to what I think beautiful, but also what strengthen the structures of the motive. So not any conscious symbolism in my coloring. I am a little bit in love with much gray scales with reddish an pink at the end of the color maps .That makes many of my fractals a little bit dark However there are also bright examples of that coloring. To compensate the lack of green in fractals I also have some motive where green dominates. An for that reason I sometimes make 2 version of the same fractal, one darkΒ  and one rather greenish. You will maybe already tomorrow see an example of that (they are under rendering now) Then I also have some almost dominated by blue. Now I see that this very fractal is colored with one of the included color maps of Ultra Fractal, but use by my choice cause I found the motive being very gladly by this coloring. Thank you for your comment

BTW, I have not forgotten your status reply. I will answer that a little bit later

It's alright, I'm not THAT impatient. ^^

Interesting, very interesting, I'll try something similar once I get the hang of how to use the program. ( OuO)_b

You are very welcome for the comment. XD

Yesterday I came back from a tenn days holiday on bike (had my smallest laptop im my pack on the ride). So no my cat is after me since I arrives at home. He is just now sleeping on my knees, making it complicated to write and handle the computer

Maybe we gonna see some result here on dA some day But of cause you shall do what your heart tells you ..

Oh, sounds lovely, I like bicycling but I'm so sore afterward. I think it's because of the seat but I don't know for sure. I noticed in your gallery that you have a cat and it made me happy because I have 3 cats at home. It makes me happy to find other cat-persons. Dogs are cool too, but I'm an introvert so a dog wouldn't fit my personality.

I can only say the same to you. Wherever the winds will take my boat I am willing to follow. ( ^u^)_b

You shall have a soft saddle in proper hight and angle Cats are really mystical beings. Especially my current one (Putte) that came to me from nowhere. The photo in my gallery was originally for a plate on, amongst all, the ICA store. BTW, are you sure that your it isn't any of your cats that is writing your comments *joking*

I hope I am not stealing your attention to your other interests
I use to say, I haven't made the choice of my nerd interests. Those interests and occupations have made the choice of me

this is great, love the colors you used..

btw, your articles have been very useful.. I have a project about fractals due some 5-6 monts later, you'll probably be included in my resources, and I might as well need to actually talk to you to clear some parts up.. just thought I'd let you know in advance

FractalMonster In reply to esintu [2006-11-11 23:34:43 +0000 UTC]

Thank you banana To get a nice color gradient is one of the difficulties in making nice fractal images. And note theat this fractal is absolutely β€œraw”.

I am very honored if you obtained inspirations from my articles I'll do my very best to answer eventually questions. Note that this series only deals with escape fractals. IFS fractals (such as Apo produces) are generated in a quite different manner which I so far know very little of. However I am very surprised to see that some images produced by Apo has almost the same "taste" as some Julia and Mandelbrot fractals..

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

esintu In reply to FractalMonster [2006-11-12 20:14:07 +0000 UTC]

I'm really more familiar with Apo as a program rather than UF, but I think I'll actually do the project on escape fractals and not on IFS, because the maths of escape fractals looks a lot more comprehendable to me right now

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

FractalMonster In reply to esintu [2006-11-13 10:27:10 +0000 UTC]

I don't have Apo, but maybe I ought to learn something about IFS fractals also. Yeah, I think you are right, and if you have some basic knowledge about complex numbers and iteration, you will have no problems with my articles. And not all of the articles are of mathematical nature

By the way, do you have UF (or any other prog producing escape fractals)?

That's the thing I like when you are presented with a fractal image particularly
like this one. There are infinite possibilities to explore [it's always depends to
the individual personal reference] and zoom in. It's really great.
Sometimes you get lost in it, time passes. Thanks for sharing!
Your welcome!
