Description
Magnification in a 2D-slice of the four dimensional cubic parameter space using the standard parameterizing z -> z^3 - 3a^2 z + b, critical points z = +a (making the set M+) and z = -a (making the set M-).*a_real = 0
*a_imag = 0.32
*b_real = #pixel (horizontal)
*b_imag = #pixel (vertical)
M+ and M- are plotted in separate layers
No filters or postprocessing except anti-aliasing.
Ultra Fractal, formula Cubic Parameterspace3 in the sp3-module written by my dear friend Greenseng here at DeviantART. All his modules, as well as mine can be downloaded from [link]
More info about Cubics can be found at my Cubic Tutorial [link] and the
"cubic" articles in my Chaotic series [link]
Below the parameter file. Play and have fun

You may be right Fractals reminds of nothing and, at the same time, everything
That's one of the things that make fractals so fascinating

Well, most common one does not know the age as the ages are seldom denoted however I myself have ..
.. and nice art may be above the ages of the artists

the world is weird,
the monster is weird,
I myself am weird ..

I think you are right
BTW, have you heard about fractals before?

You are welcome
Yes, of course but I have never tried or learned how to make this type of art. :\

Fractal geometry is the math of the new science of chaos and complexity Below some recycled info about fractals:
First: Check out the zoom sequences (only images) from page 4 in the pdf's [link] and [link] . The end motives are my deviations [link] and [link]
Second: In my journal [link] you have some links to short cool fractal animations I stumbled over at YouTube
Third: If you wanna try some free simple fractal software, go to my journal [link]
Fourth: Wikipedia has a nice site [link]
Fifth: Maybe you would appreciate my "Chaotic series of fractal articles" [link] if you have a little theoretical interest
Hope you don't feel spammed monsterhug (<- click)

are you using the "mandelbrotmenge" as a basis? sort of reminds me of it..just very strangely unformed...^^ (not in a bad way of course!)
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
FractalMonster In reply to Defonthana [2011-03-05 16:31:34 +0000 UTC]
Well, for this one I've not used the Mandelbrot set, but the full analogy for cubic polynomials. That set is a four dimensional monster so you have to slice it in 3 or 2 dimensional slices See my Cubic Tutorial [link] and even [link]
