i know EXACTLY where that is and when i was standing there i saw the SAME THING! then again, when you go deep within the isles on the third floor...in a strange way, sometimes it feels more like a gateway. a portal if you will, as if it were the pagemaster movie or something. especially when you go to the spots where they have the books dating back to world war I. i love the NG Library ^^!!!

say are you majoring in photography? if you are did you put your work in the juried student show? i don't recall seeing any of your work around the school. i'm in animation so they had some of my work in the E-building gallery. even if you're not, it's good to put your stuff in there cuz people who represent other schools and possible places to work come there all the time to see what we can do!

oh education huh? no wonder i haven't seen you around XP but an education major is still good though! so you're trying to become a school teacher or something right? if that's the case maybe you can become an art teacher so you have a payed excuse to use the cameras more! lol

I actually would LOVE to be an art teacher, because for some reason in schools they don't consider photography as an art. I took so many art classes throughout school and photography was never mentioned once :/ It's pretty sad because I probably would have noticed how much I loved photography at an earlier age.

you sound a lot like me when you say that ^^! i wished so badly that the schools i went to offered digital art classes with photoshop and all that, instead of just catering to the abstract charcoal artwork that other kids were making. i've had to play catch up for the last 2 1/2 years and it's been so frustrating. maybe you can become the FIRST EVER public school teacher to ever teach photography. cuz you're right. most schools don't consider it art, especially the younger grades. they think all you have to do is just point and shoot and that's it you know? you can teach them that it's waaaay more than that

Now you really have me wanting to be an art teacher, haha. I'm going to be a generalist, so it is a possibility. Or maybe when I start teaching I can convince the art teacher to utilize photography.

Yeah, I've taken pictures of some of the alumni carvings in the bricks at Austin Hall, and some of Old Main as well.
