Description “I think like him, I talk like him, same memories, same thoughts, same everything; except I’ve only got one heart. I’m part human. Specifically the ageing part. I’ll grow old and never regenerate. I’ve only got one life, Rose Tyler; I could spend it with you, if you want.” – Human Doctor

--

Rose ran off the beach back into the TARDIS, pushing past Donna. The [proper] Doctor followed her inside.
“I’M NOT LEAVING YOU! Never again.” Rose cried sadly and angrily at the same time. “I broke that promise once; I’m not breaking it again!”
“Rose. You have to go back. Think about your mum and Pete. They belong here now. So do you. He needs you.” Said the Doctor, sadness filling his coffee-brown eyes.
“I need you. I’m not gunna be stuck here with an copy of you! Sure he has your memories, yeah, he has your cheeky grin. But he ain’t you, Doctor. And he never will be. And…and…I love you.”
“Rose-” the Doctor started before his blonde companion pulled him into a passionate kiss. He stiffened at her touch, but soon found himself submitting to the love and happiness her lips were bringing him. For once, after she’d left him, he felt truly alive. Pushing her against the TARDIS console, the time machine gave a slow hum of approval and went quiet.

Donna and the Human Doctor were chatting about old times while Jackie was on the phone moaning to Pete about how ‘they’d been dropped off at bloody Norway and Rose had stormed off in a strop and she had to get Tony’s dinner ready’.

Fed up of waiting, Donna walked into the TARDIS and without looking up said “Oi! Space man, hurry up. Fellspoon, remember! We have a date with swaying mountai--“
She cut off, when her eyes met the pair kissing, Rose sitting on the TARDIS console, legs latched round the Doctor’s, coat half off, hands running through the Timelord’s messy hair.
The Doctor was gripping Rose tightly round the waist, as if trying to squeeze all life out of her body. Noticing Donna’s presence, the Doctor broke away, arms still round Rose, and smiled sheepishly at a shocked Donna. “Hi!” he said before Donna cried
“OH MY GOD!” and ran out of the TARDIS, hands covering her eyes.
Rose giggled and pulled the Doctor towards her again.

Walking out of the TARDIS, the Doctor and Rose were holding hands. Donna was staring death at him and Jackie and the Human Doctor looked completely beat.
“Come with me. I’m gonna keep you with us. ” The Doctor said to the Human Doctor. “It’ll be me, you, Donna and Rose. Jackie…”
“Let me handle this” said Rose softly “Mum, look…I’m gonna stay with the Doctor. I love him and you’re family wherever you are. Tell Tony and Pete I love them. And that Mickey ‘died’. Bye, mum. I love you.” Rose said, a single tear making a path down her cheek as she gave her mum a long hug. Then she turned round and, without looking back, walked into the blue police box.

The Doctor and  Rose were quietly chatting in her room when Donna started babbling in the console room in a poor imitation of the Doctor’s voice. “
So, Fellspoon-” she started.  When the Doctor heard her, a mixture of sadness and loss crossed his face. “Be back in a bit. Stay here” he said before rushing out of the room towards the TARDIS console.

After a few moments, Rose followed him, popping her blonde head round the door just in time to see Donna falling into a deep sleep, her memories erased. The Doctor held her for a moment before setting the co-ordinates for Earth.

The Doctor dropped Donna back off at the Noble house, explaining how for one, shining moment, Donna Noble had been the most important woman in the universe. With her he left John Smith, i.e. the human doctor, with whom she could share adventures and grow old with. He wasn’t really the old Donna’s type, but at least he could always watch his counterpart from afar.

The  Doctor turned on his heel and walked over to Rose, who was standing silently by the TARDIS, a blank expression on her face. Taking her hand he walked back into his home. Thoughts were running through his huge mind, but today one stood out more than most: There had been too much sadness today.

That was really good, a far better ending to the episode, I think doctor who should've hired you just to write the ending lol. The doctor and Rose are really good together...

I concur! I was beyond furious when 10.5 got what should have been 10's kiss in the episode. This is an incredibly better ending. Molto bene!
