Had somehow washed away
And all the happiness I had left

How do you know what you want
Is really how you feel
When all around you what you see
Is commerciality
Is beauty not what’s in the heart
And if so where is mine
For I sometimes feel that if that’s true
Then I’ve been left behind

Why does the “world”
Think to control every persons life
If in itself it cannot say
That it is without strife

Why must I wait to see my love
If not for a persons spite
Embedded in the thoughts of men
Whom conspire in the night

What is love without you here
But a distant memory
That reminds me that no matter what

thank you very much, I did not write it. My best friend did. I will make sure and tell her that you enjoyed it. That is her and Korey ( the army boyfriend) in the pic..it is my favorite one of them, it was taken just 3 weeks before he was sent over. sad and happy all at the same time
