Description
A bit different work than what I do normally, I think...
This work is actually from a year ago, but it was in exhibition and when I got it back on Friday I decided to upload it nevertheless, because I still like it.
It was the first time I tried my hand on paper cutting (that's why it's still rough), but it was fun. This motive was highly inspired by Asimov's robot stories as well as other science fiction stories and movies (and comics)... (Too many. I love SciFi )
I think the issues of robots, androids, cyborgs and especially artificial intelligence are some of the most interesting in human developments which need to be discussed. What are we able to do and when it is time to stop? Where are technical and ethical limits? Which effects does it take on society? It is difficult to discuss, but I think there are a lot of topics we have to bear in mind.

Vielen Dank!

You meant this concerning the picture, did I understand that right?

Yeah, it's just that the original comment was an infinity war reference that turned into a meme for a while, I wanted to know if you got it

Ah! I didn't watched Infinity Wars, but now I remember a work here on DA....It was Spiderman, wasn't it? Well, now I got it right!

Wow interesting piece! And interesting debate, btw., I think we'll never know when to stop -_- And congrats on the exhibition! Did you have more pieces on it?

Thank you so much!
I did this work in my art school, and actually most of the pieces I create there go in exhibition. I always feel honoured, but the problem is - as I wrote - I get them back half a year or a year later, so most of it doesn't find its way to DA after that. These two were works that got in exhibition, too:
My latest work of a grave digger (I actually don't know what I painted) was drawn-in, too...I guess I'll get it back in autumn.

Wow, anyway is such an honour to have most of your pieces on exhibition! I just had two paintings on exhibition while I was at the art school, but they where technical drawings and I was much younger... so they won't appear on DA while I'm alive hahaha I'll be looking forward to that grave digger

Thanks a lot! Yep, it was fun and it was really interesting just working with flat black and white...but of course it is annoying when you cut a piece you actually didn't want to

This is quite impressive. I haven't done this sort of stuff since elementary school and I would get glue stains all over the place. I don't know if you upped the contrast after uploading the photo but it looks rather neat.

Thank you very much! I also got glue stains, but fortunately I managed to keep them small. Yes, I upped the contrast a bit, I had to take the photo in the shadow, because the sun reflected too much on the black paper, but then the white was too dark. This is always the problem with taking photos of tradtional art, it is very difficult getting the right values and colours.

I think for a first attempt...it's excellent. My hundredth attempt wouldn't even be close to this. Bravo on it being exhibited too

Thanks kindly, Richard! My luck was that the paper wasn't too small, I had a bit more space for making mistakes and correcting them.
