2 days ago I got a trade art from I drew her a jester, and she drew a frog for me (like I would ask anything else, lol.) I really love her british-styled froggie, it inspires me to make an art, and this is the result. An Alice in wonderland-type of story. The toad there is a magic clock keeper of some sort ha ha ha. The toad design is basically inspired by 's work.Probably one of my most complex work for the year... It took me around 5 hours to create the BG, and almost 6 hours to color it (yep, I'm slow). I regret not making the BG perspectively though.... I'm sure it'll look better.

This looks like something Hayao Miyazaki (Director of Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, My Neighbor Totoro, Porco Rosso, etc...) might do as a movie project. Very imaginative, Froggie-Chan!

omg......... Pow-sama, have u ever watched this animated film called 'Freddy as F.R.O.7"? It's a "007 meets the-frog-prince" movie. Heh heh.. and the secret-agents frog (Fredrick) is French.... and he's really cute... and yes there's a clock tower in the movie too...

Well I dunno if it was intended, but it has a certain Steam Punk atmosphere.
And I love that Retro-style high tech magical stuff ...... And yes I allways talk in a way that makes it difficult to be figured out.

Guess I`m afraid I don`t CG good enough to compleate it!

Sweet background. However... it makes a question for me:
1. Are the background is kinda... wallpaper-like? And they're flying around the wallpaper?
2. Or may be you mind it like... they're IN the background? Flying toward somewhere INSIDE the grinds?
If you answer no.2, now here's the critic:
1. Although the details is awesome, it looks too 2-d, unless you meant it like... artistic manner
2. If they're inside it, "paste" some grinds BEFORE them. A little blur, then, will help. And they will look like they're flying through the grinds.
3. And some lightning effects. If the sourroundings DO have a volume, don't be lazy to do dark-light shadings.

That's why I thought I should've drawn the BG perspectively. It was looking 2d flat. I'll try giving a shading later. Maybe it'll help, thanks ^^
