Doestrike's voice rang through the clearing, dripping with malcontent snide. She couldn't believe her ears- and quite frankly, she was disgusted by the suggestion. Leave Dimclan camp? To take shelter in Saltclan? Sure, why didn't they just give up their warrior names while they were at it?

"Leaving our territory would only be admitting defeat to this storm- we're stronger than that! Clearly, this must be a test from Starclan- and if we leave, we prove that we are nothing more than soft-bellied mice who flee at the simplest of struggles! Think about what the other clans would think- if Dimclan can't take care of itself, how can it possibly stand to be a viable threat to anyone else?"

The snow crunched and sloshed around the legs of the fluffy Dimclan deputy and clung to her thick fur as she tried to walk. As Leaf-bare began, the temperature had taken a very quick dive for the worse, leaving the Dimclan territory buried beneath layers and layers of thick, freezing snow. The temperature had dropped well below the point of freezing and the masses of snow made it near impossible for even the largest cats to move, let alone hunt. Even if there was any prey braving the weather, they could hear the Dimclan warriors coming from a mile away.
As Snowstorm forced her way through the snowbanks and into the Dimclan camp she was greeted by the sight of her starving, miserable, freezing clanmates. They needed to take action. Dimclan would not survive the winter if they stayed in their territory.
The Dimclan deputy made her way into their leader's den, intent on reasoning with Dovestar and convincing him that they must either take action, or face the dim conseq
