We're all waiting for it, so you're not alone there - but losing interest in a moddable Descent remake? Never!

I haven't just been waiting though,
I have a system now that could run
the game with moderate settingsΒ -
so I've been getting used to the Last
UDK Editor they're using in it!
I believe as per my last impromptu
update, it seems as though they are
waiting as well - to be able to do the
Oculus Rift support that was originally
mentioned in the main features for the
game, and many new gamers would be
looking forward to using their new OR!
As well as putting a spit shine on the last
coat of paint, with diagnostics and a final
tune up on the new engines - so we don't
get anyone lost in space, or even stranded
on some god forsaken planet in the middle
of nowhere now do we.
And since any players from Descent and the
Freespace series, along with Miner Wars and
maybe even Retrovirus will want to play the
game - it would behoove the developers to
make sure the first release gets out without a
hitch in site, so you can understand what kind
of pressure they might feel right about now!
So Prepare For Descent Again!

well i spose that is true, its not like the Star Citizen comunite but even they made alot of progress so far and now have a planet you can walk around on or soon wil lhave, they should hurry up more, and not be like Blizzard.

Well, aside from being prepared - I think they also want the game to work on as many systems as possible, to include regular Descent fans as well as new game players!

I didn't say anything about MAC's, but in time they might even do the other system ports the UDK does - but right now afaik, it's just for PC's!
And with so many different kinds of PC's, it does take a bit of effort to make sure it will run on most of them - but suffice it to say, if your system can run the July 2013 UDK then it should run the game just fine!

It's all about the game, and the people who play
it - and how much friggin fun! every one of those
players is gonna have using it, especially with a
solid current game framework to build on!
