Description
based off rambutan fruit and cornus kousa fruit and tree trunks and worms. struggled with typing for these. i eventually went with pure bug. i imagine it learning one or two grass types thoughthese pokemon live inside berries and then tree trunks for protection. the berries give off a bitter sweet scent. when they need extra protection they just have to duck their heads inside their hosts. after evolving multiple pokemon have learned to live together in one host tree trunk, which allows them to work together better, unfortunately they sometimes fight as well, making them a possibly tricky pokemon to raise.
they are bug type
the first evolves into the second after learning tri attack (level 32)

Stage 1: Wormeek (Worm + Meek = Wormeek). Type: Bug. Dex Entry: "It is rather timid and hides itself away in berries. Now, this tactic of hiding makes it rather rare and hard to find. Unfortunately there is a downside - an incident involving a poffin, for all their timid nature, did not end well at a village festival."
Stage 2: Forttree (Fort/Fortress + Tree = Forttree). Type: Bug (Bug/Rock?). Dex Entry: "Upon evolution, the berry evolved along with Wormeek. This resulted in a self-sustaining tree which grows the same type of berry as the one it evolved in. It can survive a blockade from attackers easily - it has food, the ability to drink water from the tree-roots and a super-powerful defense that will have opponents foaming at the mouth!"

These loo great, love the infested tree look. Honestly if you aren't happy with the grass type I could see these as pure Bug or even Rock or Steel, with a shell that superficially resembles a fruit, or even just a mad hard fruit

i was actually planning on bug/rock but thought that would be too weird. my thinking was basing it off the seed in the center of a rambutan, often referred to as the stone. i scrapped that though. idk maybe i will use it

Also even if it only learns two grass type moves it's not a really big deal. Celesteela is part Flying but only learns 1 or 2 Flying type moves

Tbh Nintendo made flabebe's line full fairy type wheb clearly it had grass type traits... so may i suggest a bug/dark or bug/normal??

I always use the farfetch'd excuse, if the item/object in question is physically part of the creature, you can get away with not including it in the typing
