Thanks for providing the links to the exact stock pieces used! It is always so cool being able to see what was changed, such a cool experience! Besides, it helps me know the names of the things in English. Finding stocks if you don´t know how items are called is very difficult!
I sometimes gather samples of items to be able to select the right search on the stock gallery later, so my deep thanks for that!
I love what you did to the model and how you made her hair look, so long and moving.... The changes to the table and the goblet are absolutely stunning, while I can´t possibly imagine how you turned the dark Summoning Circle to a glowing one
... (I need to learn so much yet!).
The background matching and blending is fantastic, it put a smile on my face to see what can be done with talent and skills...
When I got to the spark, the starfields and the nebula images I couldn´t belive that such could be done... I would have never thought of using such stocks for that purpose was possible!
Seeing it as a whole piece, I can´t but LOVE it. Everything flows perfectly into place and the mood is exquisite, exactly what I would imagine that could be found on a forest corner in a fantasy land
In sum... I was mesmerized by your work and the end result and I wish you BEST of lucks at the contest!
I am happy that I´m watching you!
M.

Manwathiell, thank you SO much for this beautiful comment. You've made my day.
I believe the effort you put in to crediting your resources is just as important as the effort it takes to make the art. I guess my years of writing scientific papers have done that to me, but I'm very pleased to know it helps other artists too.
Most of what I know I learned right here on dA, and I'd be happy to share with you anything you want to know, if I can. I still have a lot to learn, and for that I shall use the tutorials section here. Much of it is just experimentation too.
Thanks again for that lovely comment. I shall be smiling for a long time thanks to you.

My comment was a direct reaction to what you and your art made me feel.
These are no empty compliments, but my way of releasing the enthusiasm and energy
that your art injected in my soul
I agree with you about the credits I think exactly the same. It´s very time
consuming to do it properly, but without stock providers artists wouldn´t be able
to work, and they deserve the credit for their works.
In my case, I´ve done only three pieces so far and I´ve read over 50 tutorials.
I still keep them and review them over and over again. It is interesting how I
learn something different each time. At first I could only understand very basic
concepts, and the more I work, the benefit I get from them is higher.
The benefit people get of them is different, depending on the learning level.
I am on level 1 Still have a LONG way to go!! That´s is why I enjoy SO much
when direct links are provided. I know I can´t do something like this yet (and I doubt
I´ll ever be as good as you are, because I can´t paint and I have no art background,
just a huge imagination)... and yet it is so fantastic to enjoy what other people
create, you in this case...!
It surprised me to find out that you learned everything here on DA !!
But you must be good at painting, aren´t you ? (I can only do circles and sticks,
as I told someone before haha! Really pathetic!).
The tutorial section and me are good old friends
There are so many great tuts there!!
I appreciate your kind offer of help and I promise that if I find myself in trouble I
will ask. At this point my level is too basic as to even try bothering you with anything!
But it´s really nice of you being ready to share!
It makes me happy that this brought a smile to your face... you did the very same
with me... !
It´s a pleasure to meet you and keep the beautiful works coming!

It's funny you should mention that. I failed miserably at every kind of artistic endeavour at school, and gave up completely until mid last year. I can't remember the last time I held a paintbrush, but I do have a (cheap entry-level) Wacom tablet, which is an enormous help for things like hair and cutting out/blending.
I've made probably about two dozen photomanipulations so far, some of them are not worth showing here, but generally each one is a little better than the last. I'm not really sure where I was going with that but hopefully someone can take some encouragement from it.
Sorry for rambling, but thanks again for your wonderful support.

Well, Einstein was a miserable student at school, as I heard!
I work with a mouse, and it's very difficult to work hair. Have you tried to do tiny hairs with a mouse ??
Cutting out is not a problem, in fact, I find the mouse just perfect. Since I go very slowly, it allows a lot of control to me
You are most welcome !!!! I will keep checking your works (sometimes it can take me a while to get to them because I watch a lot of people, but eventually I will !!)

That is gorgeous! The lighting on her is perfect, and the whole effect is so dreamy and spooky. The only thing that could use some work is the table. It doesn't look like it's on the ground, but rather, floating. But this is totally amazing.

Thanks very much for leaving such a flattering and helpful comment. I'll have a go at editing the area around the table to see if I can make it look a bit more grounded!
