WOW great photo..
But I think there's so much contast.. maybe if you decrease that the photo will become more natural, with better colors and light..!

If you'd used a 1-stop grad filter to darken the top of this photo it would have been awesome. But as it is, the sky and mountains are overexposed. Nice composition though!

haha, i have some crappy photoshop from the 90's. Im not even sure it has a 1-stop grad filter on it. thanks for the suggestion, though.

nice one, good composition.
I just would recommend some modifiations of the sky and upper part which is a bit over-exposed a bit.
There you could get some nice result with a bit post proccessing.

Im very against proccessing in many regards, for the simple reason that anyone can take a terrible photo and make it nice. Ergo, i avoid it when possible, but i appreciate your criticism!

well in most cases i agree. to just create a whoooo-shot.
but here i think it would be nice. Just because of the fact that your reflection has a nice blue sky and sweet mountains, but the real missing the tones.

I know these mountains from some other picture. there was the same with the overexposed sky and mountains ... i also recommended to fix that

Thats weird.. haha. But, Maroon Bells are one of the most famous landmarks in colorado... so i dont doubt that you've seen them before.

I did it vertically so the landscaped sort of framed itself, so you only could see the parts i want you to see.

i could have done it horizontally instead of vertically (actually i did, but just havnt posted it) but i felt if i had too much stuff on the sides, it would distract away from my vocal point
