This is very much useful. I have a better understanding of how to do hair highlights now.

that's a pretty awesome tutorial, but it seems a bit lengthy, for my kakashi one, i used a burn tool to shade. i started with the uncoloured image, duplicated, and deleted all the white, then i made another layer under it, and did the colouring, it was pretty easy. but your way makes it look sooo much more awesome, definately worth the extra work.

Did you get rid all of the white by erasing it? Because there's an easier way; set the layer to multiply, much easier

don't be sorry (and for me it's relatively easy, cus i choose manga front covers. the kakashi one was only a couple solid blocks of white)
