the problem is it's too easy to get rid of hounds.

Except if you don't live near beefalo or pigs.
Then, I just run around until someone else kills them.
By someone else, I mean Wilson.

What I like to do is once I kill a few of them and gather their teeth or get lucky from the tumble weeds I like to make small rings of tooth traps. After several waves of hounds you can literally make several large rings of the traps to a point where nothing survives trying to reach you. Myself and friends made several on my server to survive some of the hounds cause after 200 days the number of them drastically increases.

XD yeah I figured since hounds are wild dogs it would make sense to tame one somewhat. Plus it'd be great for hauling lots of stuff around.
