Notes for a project I'm thinking of doing.I've been speaking to a few fellow LoSH fans and we were all kinda wondering what Brainy will look like when he's older, so I quickly copied two screenshots from seasons 1 and 2 and made a list of the differences.
Brainy looks most like Superman/Kell-El (out of the whole key cast), and because they're older than him I used their designs to give myself suggestions of what would make him look older (cause I'm a bit of a n00b at drawing in this style
)So, if I do actually use this the final thing will be two pics -- one of about 17/18 yr old B5 (I'm guessing he's about 15 in season 2?) and one about mid-twenties (i.e. full grown).
Whether or not I use this it'll be scrapped soon enough. I'm just pretty proud of those pictures cause, like I said, I find this kind of style (TT, JL/JLU, BB etc) pretty hard to draw in and these two look good!!!

not likely. for one thing, some people who i've asked in person haven't replied, and some people *cough*Duncan*cough* have given me really stupid answers.
and yes i did. took about three hours. luckily 'Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman' was on a marathon and i had that to amuse me.

i think it is important that you do.
i feel too tired to do anything. i think i'll go try to nap (you know i can't ever sleep in the day) and then write more story. i feel like doing that.
just got back with lunch with my grandparents. i kept slipping onto my dad's shoulder and he had to keep pushing me upright. i went bed at 9:30 and woke up at 8:30 for frack's sake.
you know i get post-traumatic stress? i'm pretty sure that's what's wrong with me.
and do you ever get the feeling it just never ends? like, we just finished the mocks, now i spend hours finishing this art, then i start doing my real art, plus we finish the courses in science and revise to improve our crappy english grades and revise all the other subjects then it's the GCSE and then we have two months and than it's AS and the it's A levels and then its uni and then it's job and it just....never ends.
my cousin edward got three degrees in biologicical research and a PhD and something else i can't remeber the name of and graduated cambridge with a ridiculous international reputation as a genius and now he is a consultant for the house of commons.
he's 24.

my cousin richard just got into cambridge and apparently i am very similar to both of them and so now my whole family is expecting me to go to cambridge, on TOP of the pressure to, like edward and richard, get 10 A*s on my GCSEs which is, i'm sorry, never going to happen and do something more productive with my life than become a graphic designer for the BBC.
i'm just a kid. this is so unfair.

cambridge. ok, my WHOLE family has this thing about cambridge - my grandfather was a president or w/e of a college and has a building named after him and stuff but tbh it's not that great. personally i hate cambridge. i swear it is ALWAYS raining and cold and BORING. i mean it, boring. people rattle on about the history, but as far as i can see, history of that kind only intrests you when your AT LEAST 50. yawn!!!

defy them and do what you want - tis your life! do you NEED a degree from a posh place saying you can draw?! no, you need passion for what you want to do, which i know you do.
plus, people always go 'this is the best time of your life' blahblahblah but it really isnt in terms of work!!! i mean, yer we get all our meals and money for nada etc but actually its just a big stress. i gave up on the big picture A LONG time ago because of various reasons. im kinda looking at about a month at a time with big things sitting in the back of my mind like GCSEs. i know they're there, but i just think well ive got hols coming up and in the summer i REFUSE to think about ASs and just enjoy myself. think about the good bits in between and acknowledge but gloss over all the crap. get bad grades - accept them and move on - mate, you can't change the past. that is NOT meant to be mean. and neither is this: ok, you did worst in your english by your standards but think how many people can say that about your mark - dudette you got an A with NO revision - you are supreamly talented and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. you have a natural way with words that many would kill for. and personally i prefer your writing to PKs. PKs is full of big words which, if you didn't know him, you would think he was using to show off. yours is beautifully crafted but not OTT.
same with your art - this one anyway, simple to first glance, but intricate to the deeper gaze. you take so much care over what you do because of your perfectionism (is that a word...?) and thats what makes it all so amazing. dont let mrs houseman bully you. shes a cow if she doesnt like your art - it rules. even i who CAN NOT do art to save my life (i have NEVER been able to control a pencil... SAD!!! although my pottery has been known to be good, as have my prints but back to the point!!!) doesnt mean i dont appriciate it. and in your current piece - the delicacy of the flowers, the subtlty of the detail eg glitter glue and highlights on purple flowers just lift the whole thing. it is beautiul. she sucks if she doesnt like it.
so keep ranting, keep sleeping, and stop stressing. easier said then done, i know, but forget it, take each day ads it comes. actually, make that week as it comes, just to be on the safe side!!! and dont let anyone bully you. you WILL go far and become an awesome artist, and you dont need a bloody piece of paper from cambridge to do that. do what you want, queen of the fish, and stuff those who try to mess with you!

that is the attitude of most of my family. unfortunately, that has seeped down to me. you know what i mean - we're just.... there's no way of putting this delicately. we're much higher class than most of the people at freemen's, and i think that's a reason we find it difficult to get along with people there.
i mean, compared to one BITCH i could mention, or five sluts i could also name, we're practically nobility. and i think that makes it hard to get along.
so, in a big way, schools like cambridge and westminster, which are very high brow, i think will be very good for us.
