why is it that i suddenly cant find the tutorials gallery?

but anyway.. this is for cuz she wanted to know how i draw chibis.. i got my style from a book originally, but have since expanced MY version of these... it went from.. about five steps in the book.. to thirteen here

anyway step one make three sections, the bottom two the same size, and the top one a little bigger

step two make circles filling up the top two sections, and a line splitting the bottom one in half also, draw a vertical line down the middle of the entire thing, and a line cutting the head in half horizantally too

step three now working on the head--draw two more lines splitting it horizantally

step four use the lines to tell you where to cut off the sides of the head (in a way look to the picture for reference here) and then use the vertical line going to the bottom of the circle as a guide of where to put the tip of the chin

step five erase the extra lines on the head, put lines to form the body shape (again: see picture) and use the bottom section (where its devided in half) to find how high the feet go--they're like two half circles here--and i like it when they turn out large jus looks cool in my opinion

step six now working on just the body--continue the lines from the body shape to the feet, and make the bottoms of the pants, use the vertical line for the inside 'divider' of sorts (my vocabulary has suddenly been cut short, but where the legs split--inside of legs etc lolz)

step seven erase the tops of the shoes here, add a 'wrinkle cuff' on the pants, and draw the bottom of the shirt, make sure the edges of this stick out more than the pants, because the shirt *is* over it.. also--start on the arms, remember the hands come down to just above the knee, so dont make them too long or short.. last thing on this step: make the shoulders come up a *little* bit more: it makes them look like the chibi is standing up straigh instead of slouching (erase the vertical line going down the shirt, except for a little bit towards the top if you're putting writing on it, if you are, also put a horizantal line so you dont have to worry about it being straight)

step eight erase any extra lines, finish the arms, and put on any writing

step nine erase the lines on the writing, and add eye outline (look above to see how i used the three lines made in step three to keep the eyes even)

step ten make the iris and pupil outline, and erase extra lines on the face

step eleven finish the eyes, add a nose and mouth (bangs also are on this step)... again, erase any set up lines left on the head, except for the head ouline

step twelve give your chibi a hair style!! (this is the funnest part for me ^^) then erase the outline the hair goes over

step thirteen make sure your outlines are nice and dark, and that all unneeded lines are erased (erasing is a constant process for me if you cant tell ) and ink, shade, or color ^^ your chibi should now be complete
