Dude! I know this one was from a while ago, but is this Salmon Creek? Witt and I just went here sunday, I snapped off a few shots around Salmon Creek that looked like this but deader... I told Witt that this same place would be great in about a month or so when things start growing! You beat me too it though dude... nice pic man.

Yeah, it looks a lot better when all of the plants are alive. At the time I went, all the blackberry plants were ripe too, so you'll have a ton of snack food while you shoot!

The pond looks so hidden and secluded in the grass, I bet no-one noticed you escaped from your sickbed ;]

You're right, no one noticed that I escaped into the open and ran amok for a while! It was great fun.

Psh, to heck with letting sickness get the best of you when you've got scenery like that to behold!

Excellent composition. The vertical frame helps emphasize the majesty of the tree along the right, while the stream captures (and is further emphasized by) the gorgeous blue and white mixture of the sky.

While each element gets its place, no single one is permitted to dominate: the clouds hold the blue in check, for example; as does the green treeline to the chartreuse grassland. The end result is a scene that makes me wish I could've been there to see it for myself, which is (in theory) the essence of what a photographer strives to capture.

And now that I've already swollen your head with my effusiveness, allow me to add the cherry: .

Thank you for the wonderful comment! And don't worry, I won't let it go to my head...too much

If it does, just apply some ice; that ought to help reduce the swelling. (You're welcome.)

Sorry you're sick, but that is a really beautiful place to escape to. I miss living in a place where grass grows all on its own (without having to place down sod and water it for three weeks first.)

This is the first time I've lived in a place where grass grows on it's own. It's great! Not much grows in Mesa, AZ, or Provo for that matter.
