I decided to do this drawing in hopes that it'll help me with making dragons. The details of scales and such are a big part of why I'm creating them. I plan on drawing five more dragons, but in graphite instead of colored pencil. Graphite was my first love when it comes to drawing media, so I hope a new level of detail will be possible. Anyways, thanks for dropping by and I hope you enjoy this piece!

Thank you, and I agree. I hope that by taking elements from iguanas and
other reptiles, I'll be able to draw better dragons.

Thanks! I've tried many times to get more into digital art with it's snazzy tools
and the almighty ctrl-z. Yet, something about graphite keeps me coming back. As
far as art medium goes, it's my first true love.

The folds of the skin, details in those scales - the 3d nature of the eye, exquisite!

It's a nice drawing. Glad you are returning to graphite. I love classic pencil. I'm sure you'll be able to create beautiful silvery dragons in graphite. Looking forward to your works in this.
