LUFFY would not go into Gear Second mode... yet.

Here's a One Piece X Pokemon fan art

I did for A3 poster prints some time ago~

As you can see, It features LUFFY with half of a pokemon

team that has abilities that suit his own fighting style and attacks.

INFERNAPE: It is a fighting and fire-type, which is similar to Luffy's hand-to-hand combat style

plus one of his newer moves, Gomu Gomu no Red hawk. And also, it's a monkey... Enough said.

LUCARIO: Again, a fighting-type. Its steel body and one of its moves, Aura Sphere, is reminiscent

of Luffy's ability to manipulate his Haki (Aura) for both attacking and defending himself.

METAGROSS: Because its my personal favourite The same reason as why I chose Lucario,

AND also because it has a very large and obvious X on its face, just like the scar on Luffy's chest...

Meteor Mash also equals up to any of Luffy's Haki-related moves.

(All of them has an X mark on their bodies)
