Well, I thank you for that. But even though Pinkie did judge at first because she was different they did learn better and Zecora even comes back later as a friend they regard as someone with great wisdom. They learn from their mistakes and I think it's a bit of an overgeneralization to call everyone who likes a show for children a racist.

She chose to, and that's one of the reasons they were scared. Because she chose to live somewhere they considered dangerous.

Or maybe they just live elsewhere. If we follow our own version of animals then zebras are pack animals. Maybe they just prefer to stay together. Of course this is just a theory, just like everything you're trying to explain to me.
Also, it's never stated that she is black, just that she is different. Everyone, including you, is just assuming that because she has an accent. That in and of itself is slightly racist. Once again, this is just an opinion.

There's that word, assuming. Though most of the things that they show about her point to the fact that she's from the equestrian version of Africa, they have never once stated that she was black. Just that she was different.

Once again, it's never stated that all the other ponies are white. And honestly, I don't want to throw things like that on them. It's an entirely different species with different issues regarding these things. Such as the old fights between unicorns, pegasi, and earth ponies.
And to truly look at it, they never feared her because they thought she was a different species. It was because of the things she did, such as: living in the everfree forest, digging in front of shops, and speaking in rhyme.
At one point Rarity comments on her stripes, thinking them to be a fashion choice not a part of her.
They didn't fear her because of her race (or, if we're getting technical, species), just for her mannerisms.
Just think, if you saw someone dressed in a bright neon outfit who suddenly just started hitting the ground in front of random places you might be a slight bit weirded out.

But, like I said before, she CHOSE to live in the forest. They aren't forcing her into anything.

I see you're backtracking now.
They weren't racists. They didn't even know she was a zebra at first, seeing as how she came into town while wearing a cloak that covered yer face and most of her body. It was a misunderstanding that was cleared up. Later in the series you see her walking around town just like anyone else. In fact, the only reason anyone was scared was because one pony saw her strange behavior and began gossipping. Hence the title of the episode.
