Description Anyone remember this puzzle? This fiendish bit of engineering and puzzling brilliance came from the same mathematical mind that produced the worlds most famous and most vexatious puzzle in the world - the Rubik's Cube.

It was made of eight square plastic panels with criss-crossing channels wherein interlaced loops of fishing line (technically called monofilament) were weaved, thus enabling the contraption to flip, fold and reconfigure in a mind-twisting number of ways. There was a follow-up version that was even bigger, one that I never knew about until I hit the web on a puzzle search - in particular Ebay. See my pics Master Magic Before and After .

Have you seen the Rubik's Master Magic, with ten panels and five rings?

It's more complicated and requires more moves to complete, but it's a very cool puzzle too .

It's only about eleven folds to solve and bring back and can be done quite quickly .

I had one many years ago that had lost a panel and could be configured in a straight line. It was a cool variation, but obviously not the original puzzle anymore .
