This shot was used for the cover of Victor's new single "Shake It", now available on iTunes

I've used color gels on back lighting before but I have to say that this is probably my favourite result from all the setups I've done.

I had two Canon Speedlite 580EX II flashes in 2 meter high strip softboxes (with grids on) behind him, pointing inwards towards him. The main light was a 48cm Ring Light (65W) .

To get the blue tint on the rim lights I used two layers of blue cellophane in front of the flashes.

If you are wondering about the high ISO, it is because the ring light I use is a mere 65W constant light, so it's not very bright. Relatively speaking. It's bright enough to blind you when you look into it though, I'll tell you!
